Sound Design and Mix in Dolby Atmos.
This project was part of my exam for the ‘Sound for animation’ class at Sonic College in the summer of 2021. It was mixes in Dolby Atmos, and down mixed for 5.1 Surround and Stereo.
The director wanted a contract between the physical and emotional aspects of the story telling.
The sound design was created and mixed along with my fellow student, Andreas Westmark.
About Lament:
“When grief tears a hole in the fabric of life, how does it feel?”
A wake takes place in a rural Irish home, a time for tradition and paying respects. The mourners are in a universal experience; grief. We explore the mental state and emotions that accompany grief. Life has been affected by loss, it changes, leaving a lament for those, we miss.
